BLOGGER VISITS MOLOSSIA
5 September 2009 XXXII
Khamsin Molossia News

It was with great pleasure that the Republic of Molossia welcomed Bay-area blogger Carmen Machado, along with her friend Paul McMillan, to visit our great nation today. Carmen mentioned Molossia several years ago in an article in her blog, on 21 January 2005 XXVIII. This mention which was belatedly discovered in July 2009 by the Ministry of State Security, Idle Web Surfing Division, during their weekly "Googling" of Molossia mentions on the internet. Discovery made, His Excellency, The President immediately invited Carmen to visit Molossia, an invitation that was quickly and eagerly accepted. The visit was delayed until September to allow for better weather, which succeeded quite well. Thus on the sunny, breezy Saturday afternoon of 5 September 2009 XXXII, Carmen and Paul arrived in Molossia.

The visit included a tour of the usual Molossian sights, the Customs Shack, Republic Square, the Peace Pole, the Post Office, Norton Park and the Molossia Railroad, the Tower of the Winds and the Trans-Molossia Trail. Carmen and Paul were the first tourists to launch air rockets at the new Space Monument, only recently established near the Tower of the Winds. The tour was followed by a snack of cookie dough and El Presidente Water, along with much informal discussion about Molossia and micronations in general. Passports were stamped, and photos were taken. A fine time was had by all, not the least being the President, who loves to showcase our nation to the world, and especially by Carmen, who was tickled pink to be visiting Molossia. It was a great pleasure to have these wonderful visitors come to Molossia, and we certainly hope to see them here again - Carmen has volunteered herself for future major Molossia events, an offer which we will certainly take her up on!
