A QUIET FOUNDER'S DAY
26 May 2008 XXXI
Khamsin Molossia News

The Republic of Molossia celebrated it's 31st anniversary today, albeit rather quietly. As compared to the party held last year to celebrate our 30th anniversary, celebrations this year were low key. Rain dampened the festivities and the planned Founder's Day Party in Norton Park had to be cancelled. Instead, a Cookie Dough Fest was held indoors, which included a marathon viewing of the three original Indiana Jones movies. Subsequent to the Fest, His Excellency, the President delivered his annual Founder's Day speech. Following the speech, the First Family repaired to nearby Carson City, to see the new Indiana Jones movie, "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". This was followed by dinner at Straw Hat Pizza, the official pizza of the Republic of Molossia. This closed the day, a somewhat muted, but nevertheless enjoyable celebration of our nation's birthday.
