My Fellow Molossians, Family and Friends.
This day marks the 49th anniversary of the founding of our nation, a nation that began as scribbles on scraps of paper, building through the years to the mighty land that you see before you today. Through those years we have had struggles and achievements and setbacks and triumphs. We learn from both, taking these lessons as to how to get it done, how to make our nation ever greater. Every day has been one step further forward in growing and building our mighty Molossia.
In this past year we have made great strides in making Molossia an ever better place. In many cases we have looked beyond our borders to make things happen, as in the case of the Molossian Navy's shark study in Hawaii last fall, and our humanitarian mission to Mexico this January. In both cases we sought to make the world at large a better place, spreading the bounty that is Molossia far and wide. The environment continues to be a focus for us as well, as I decreed last fall the curtailment of plastic pollution, with an eye toward reorienting, reusing and recycling plastic waste. Even tiny steps help make the world a better place.
We looked increasingly toward the heavens this last year, beginning with the establishment of the Molossia Observatory in December, and in spring of this year building the mighty Desert Star Rocket. Manned by our brave, well-trained "Molossonauts", this rocket will hopefully soar skyward soon, taking Molossians into space, to explore the heavens above.
Here on earth, though, there have been a few improvements to make our nation a better place to visit and live in. A new hospital was introduced early this year, providing emergency medical care for Molossians and our visitors. In addition, new lights were established in Red Square, casting a warm glow over the heart of our nation, and both the Water Tower and tourist phone stands were remodeled. And our second defensive fortification, Fort Scrap, was built near our western frontier, ready to defend our nation against any interlopers.
In matters of diplomacy we hosted one State Visit, welcoming King Ryan Lehfeldt of the Kingdom of Serrakey to Molossia last summer. And of course we had the honor of attending MicroCon 2025, the biennial meetup of micronations, in Montréal, Canada. It is always a great honor and a pleasure to meet up with other micronational world leaders at MicroCon, and this mighty event was no exception.
We mourned the loss of Molossian canine citizen Bella this last summer, the tiny, fluffy old lady of Molossia. She was always watching. In fall, we gained a new canine citizen, Lulu Aloha Baugh, a truly bouncy addition to our Molossian family.
Democracy was planned but remained elusive this year, as the proposed rigged election for President failed to materialize. Nevertheless, we shall try again soon, I'm sure, pitting me against me in what will surely be a landmark for sham democratic processes!
And so now with these achievements and accomplishments behind us, we can only look forward to ever greater things ahead. Each day we work to build up our nation and make it even more splendid than the day before. We never pause because the work is never done. Together, we set ourselves to these labors, for the glory of Molossia today, tomorrow and forever!
