The Republic of Molossia is addressing the epidemic of plastic pollution. Plastic pollution is a worldwide crisis, and every minute millions of single use plastics are produced, used and discarded. Oceans are littered with them, wildlife is harmed by them and our planet's delicate ecosystems are altered because of them. To combat this, Molossia is introducing a program dedicated to reducing problematic and unnecessary plastic use. The keystones of this are reorient, reuse and recycle. Reorienting means shifting away from plastic use, toward more sustainable alternatives, such as replacing plastic water bottles with reusable ones. Reuse means using existing plastics where possible instead of disposing of them after each use and when possible replacing plastics with reusable items, such as the aforementioned water bottles. And recycling is just that, recycling waste plastic instead of simply disposing of it in the nearest landfill. We must turn off plastic tap and chart clear and actionable steps toward reducing plastic waste, to build a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future for Molossia - and the world.
