Manatee Adventure

During a recent visit to Florida to visit Molossian citizens and family there, The President and First Lady undertook a naval expedition to visit manatees in their native habitat. Manatees are large, fully aquatic herbivores sometimes known as sea cows. Manatees live in the warm coastal waters of the Caribbean, feeding on underwater plants. In the cooler months Manatees congregate around springs inland from the ocean, moving downriver toward the sea as the ocean waters warm. It was near one of these springs, on the Crystal River, that the First Couple found several manatees, after a long voyage upriver. This voyage also included a bonus experience of watching dolphins catch fish by jumping out of the water and literally scaring their prey right into their mouths. Arriving at the spring, The President and First Lady observed several manatees, including a mother and her calf, and a large older manatee, covered in algae, that His Excellency mistook for a boulder when he first spotted it. The First Couple spent about an hour with the manatees, observing and enjoying, before reboarding their boat for the journey back to civilization. It was a very successful expedition, a landmark scientific voyage of exploration and discovery!

Molossia Gets A New Well

Molossia does not import its water from the US, we have our own well, 600 Nortons (350 feet) deep beneath our desert sands. Recently our water pressure has been fluctuating and on the morning of 22 March 2025 XLVIII there was no water at all the - the well pump was dead. After a weekend of bathing with bottled water, bright and early on Monday morning Sam the well repairman arrived to save the day. After a long morning of pulling the pump from deep below Molossia, a process The President assisted with, a new pump was installed and water flowed freely again in our nation. The following day a new pressure tank was installed, ensuring steady water pressure for many years to come. Hurrah for our new well, bringing precious water to our arid land!
