OPERATION OUTREACH
9 August 2011 XXXIV
Khamsin Molossia News

The Government of the Republic of Molossia is pleased to announce the advent of our new diplomatic program, Operation Outreach. The purpose of this program is to endeavor to open diplomatic ties with established larger nations, also known as "macronations". Generally macronations do not recognize micronations, as it does not benefit them to acknowledge a tiny breakaway portion of an established nation - this might damage relations with the existing nation. However, with the independence of East Timor in 2002 XXV, Kosovo in 2008 XXXI and South Sudan in July 2011 XXXIV, hope holds out the recognition of micronations may well be right around the corner. To that end, diplomatic letters have been sent out to twenty nations, chosen for their small size, English spoken (for ease of communication) and the availability of a mailing address on their website. Thus on 9 August 2011 XXXIV, letters went out to Zimbabwe, Trinidad and Tobago, Seychelles, The Bahamas, Belize, Botswana, Dominica, Fiji, The Gambia, Malawi, Namibia, Nauru, Palau, The Ghana, Grenada, Saint Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, Tuvalu, Guyana and Barbados. Hopefully, Molossia Post will soon bring a positive response from one or more of these nations and a new era of international diplomacy will be ushered in for our mighty nation.
