The controversy is increasing, surrounding the growing and production of tobacco and tobacco products in New Antrim, our protectorate in Pennsylvania. As stated a few days ago, tobacco was banned in Molossia in 2004. Recently, however, the Association of New Antrim Tobacco Growers has challenged this decree. The Association has appealed to His Excellency, The President to repeal or modify the tobacco law, to allow the Association to grow and manufacture tobacco products, with an eye toward specializing in cigars. A few days ago, Grand Admiral Hess, the Protector of New Antrim, weighed in on the debate, with a video challenge to His Excellency, The President. The President has since responded in a video reply, and reiterated our government's firm stance on the banning of tobacco. His Excellency reminded the citizens of New Antrim of the health risks of tobacco, and implored them to obey the law, abandon tobacco production, and perhaps even turn to growing a new and different crop. This situation continues to develop and is as yet unresolved. We hope for an amicable solution to the crisis. The public video statement made by Grand Admiral Hess can be seen here.
