On Sunday, 13 April 2025 XLVIII, His Excellency, The President and the First Lady traveled to the Sovereign State of Ironland for an impromptu State Visit. Ironland is located in the city of Asheville, North Carolina, centered around a large sculpture of an antique flat iron. Ironland claims a 12 foot circle around the sculpture, which is usually home to a little cardboard robot, the only full-time resident in the nation's territory. Ironland is the fastest growing nation in micronation history, gaining thousands of citizens within days of its inception. Ironland has embassies all around the world and a significant social media presence documenting the founding and growth of the nation. Ironland is helmed by its President, Christopher and his partner and co-founder Hannah, and it was these august personages that met and welcomed The President and First Lady to the nation on a pleasant spring evening. For some while the two First Couples chatted about their respective nations before adjourning to a nearby restaurant for an informal State Dinner. Further discussion took place over a delicious Italian meal, especially pertaining to the upcoming MicroCon micronational meetup, taking place this coming June in Montreal, Canada. After a leisurely repast, The President and First Lady took their leave, bidding adieu to Ironland for the time being, although a return visit to this remarkable nation is very possible!
