It is with great pleasure and pride that the Government of the Republic of Molossia announces that it has acquired a new colony, and again expanded the physical territory of our nation. This new land, which is called the Colony of Juniper Hill, lies some 320 Imperial Nortons (320 km / 200 miles) distant from the Molossian Home Territory, about 11 Imperial Nortons (11 km / 7 mi) west of the town of Alturas, California. Juniper Hill is about 3160 Square Royal Nortons (.8 ha / 2 acres) in size and is open high desert, with tall grass and a single juniper tree. It sits in the shadow of a western facing volcanic bluff, and overlooks a beautiful open valley. Visible on the horizon is Mount Shasta, a volcano that juts skyward some 140 Imperial Nortons (140 km / 84 mi) distant.
